Spring Session Class Leaders
My name is Melissa Martin and this is my family’s 15th year homeschooling. I formerly taught in public high school and served as an instructional coach to Georgia teachers. My educational specialty is in Secondary Biology, but I also have an extensive personal background in psychology and art. I love reading, almost any art form or craft, writing, spending time in nature and with friends/family.
Hey friends, I'm Chelsea! Collective coordinator and homeschooling mom of 4. I'm a dancer and dance teacher of 20+ years with 15+ years of business experience working with community organizations. As a second generation homeschool mom, I want to do what I can to offer support and encouragement to fellow homeschool moms as we all navigate this wild homeschool journey. It's a gift to have the opportunity to build community with you all!
Hi! I’m Ashley Leong, wife to my husband Casey and mom to my daughter Kenley (age 14) and son Casey (goes by Didi, age 12). We moved to the Columbus area in 2022 and are so thankful to have found this wonderful group of fellow homeschoolers to be a part of. Outside of my wife, mom, and teacher duties (which fills my heart) I love to read, garden, go on nature walks, & visit Disney World (total Disney nerd here). Another big part of my life is devoted to helping my son. He is autistic (and awesome!). I work hard to spread awareness and create inclusion, not just for my son, but for all those with disabilities.
Kirsten Mallory, MS, CCC-SLP hails from southern California. She graduated from the University of Hawaii of Manoa in 2012, when she then moved to Georgia. She currently resides in Woodbury with her husband and daughter. She is a speech language pathologist and swim instructor with diverse athletic background. She uses evidenced based practices including play based and child led learning, as well as trauma free submersions. Children learn best through play, and repetition. Play has a significant purpose in all our learning and facilitates increased retention. Plus, it's just more fun that way!
Elizabeth Cottle is a music educator and homeschooling mom of three. She has a degree in Piano Pedagogy and over 15 years of experience teaching piano to all ages. These days, she owns and teaches at Music Together Columbus, where she leads playful, research-based, early childhood music and movement classes for families. She loves helping kids explore music in creative, hands-on ways.
My name is Jessica Wright. I am a stay-at-home mom who has been homeschooling my three kids since 2020. I love reading, painting, music, and crafts.
