LEARN MORE ABOUT THE COLLECTIVE
Harris County Homeschool Collective (HC²) was created in 2022 to provide families that home educate weekly group enrichment and supplemental classes as well as social events. The collective is open to all home educating families. As a collective we are run by parents. Our desire is to be a diverse group of families that works together to create a supportive community to learn, grow, connect and have fun together!
This year the programs are being expanded to offer more options for home educating families. Class sessions are offered twice a year and last 6-10 weeks depending on what members decide on. Classes meet weekly during the session on Fridays; the fourth Friday is a rest week for families with no classes taking place. The class sessions will still include enrichment classes but this year we are introducing some supplemental core classes and Launchpad which is a program for teens that will cover skills needed post high school. Our collective goes beyond class sessions. There are a diverse range of activities including field trips, festive parties, special events, and social gatherings throughout the year open to any homeschooling family. These programs fall under the clubhouse umbrella of the program including the following: Field Trip Friends (meets once per month), Tween/Teen Link ( meets 1-2 times per month) and The Parent Pod (meets once per quarter). These gatherings are the perfect opportunity to connect, learn, and create lasting memories with the families in our homeschool community. We can't wait to welcome you!
