Do you want your teen to learn life skills but not sure where to turn? Life - U is the solution to teach our kids life skills outside of our wheelhouse as parents. Each session parents and experts in different skills or trades will offer teens the opportunity to increase their knowledge of life skills to better prepare them for adult life. 

Job Shadowing: Teens that are trying to figure out their career path can job shadow professionals in careers they are interested in. Job shadowing opportunities will be posted on the LaunchPad member's page. 

Job Skills: A list of businesses that are offering skill training in their industry will be posted on the member's page. Parents can reach out to the contacts for these businesses to arrange a training schedule. 

Apprenticeships & Internships: Parents & teens will be sent a list of internships & apprenticeships students can sign up for starting spring session 2026. Teens must complete the onboarding classes and the Life-U or Career Path course in order to participate in an apprenticeship or internship. 

Career Experience: Opportunities to get work experience will be offered spring 2026. Teens must complete the onboarding classes and the Life-U or Career Path course in order to participate in this opportunity.
